So we made it through to recognizing that both the women and the men had their moment in Barbie - and that's part of the problem. The source of the rage that we are talking about is deeply rooted in how virtually the entirety of society is built and trying to fix it or "take it down" is going to be no easy task.

So in Pt 2, Trina and I look at some different ways that we can continue to approach it which will hopefully open more doors to conversation than they close, and hopefully that will lead to an understanding that starts to move the needle in a direction where we can all win - though as Daphne says, it's not a game. But I think we're all tired of losing, so it's fair to say that approaching it as a game that might end up in my favourite outcome of all time - the tie - could be a worthy goal. Hope you enjoy part 2 of this truly enjoyable conversation.

Walking Alongside is written, recorded and produced by me - Charissa McKay (aka CharCharBinx) in my awesome basement home office/studio/craft room on Treaty 6 lands known originally as amiskwaciy-wâskahikan, meaning Beaver Hill House, in Nehiyawewin (Cree). There are other names, equally as meaningful, and I am grateful to those who were here before me, for the ability to call this place my home.
