Walking Alongside: Perspectives
Welcome to Walking Alongside: Perspectives. Take a walk with me as we explore perspectives that I find interesting, moving, ridiculous, hilarious, infuriating, frustrating or down right bizarre! This iteration of the podcast features a combination of short (read 10-15 minutes'ish or less) solo-pods sharing what I have seen, heard, experienced or am navigating and fun and insightful conversations with cool people. Hopefully it will be relatable, possibly humourous, thought provoking or at the very least, entertaining. Looking forward to sharing these perspectives and hope you enjoy.

The ARTS: Should NOT be Optional
When you think about the arts, it's likely that your thoughts go to museums - the Louvre (of course) or our own AGA or maybe things like the symphony or possibly and hopefully local theatre like the Citadel or even Broadway. But do you think about who the people are who make the art or the music or write or act in the plays? Why not? Is it because it's this abstract concept because we're too busy thinking about practical things like sensible educations and careers with prospects for promotions and benefits? Or are we too caught up in the dumpster fire that the world seems to be in? These are all the things that we are going to explore as my favourite co-host and child joins me once again to discuss this very important topic.
Listen wherever you get your podcasts - you can find Walking Alongside on Podcast Addict, Podchaser, Pocket Casts, Deezer, Player FM, Tune-In and of course Spotify, Google Player and Apple Podcasts - where if you can leave a comment or throw me some ideas of topics you'd like to hear about, that would be great.
Walking Alongside is written, recorded and produced by me - Charissa McKay (aka CharCharBinx) in my awesome basement home office/studio/craft room on Treaty 6 lands known originally as amiskwaciy-wâskahikan, meaning Beaver Hill House, in Nehiyawewin (Cree). There are other names, equally as meaningful, and I am grateful to those who were here before me, for the ability to call this place my home.
